The upper suspension mount engraved with the maker’s label, of Prosser of Charing Cross. With curved blade double-edged at the point, gilt-brass hilt comprising lobed recurved quillons, the langets cast with a lions’ masks, fitted with a knuckle-chain between the upturned quillon and the mouth of the lion’s head pommel. With swelling and diagonally fluted ivory grip, the whole contained in original black leather scabbard with gilt-brass, chape and suspension mounts.
