Rectangular case with engine turning to the hinged lid, applied with the badge of the RTR and the top left corner set with the enamelled regimental stripe of brown, red and green symbolising the RTR unofficial motto - ‘Through the mud and the blood to the green fields beyond’. Gilt interior. Maker’s mark of JWB. Hallmarked 1928.
