The 3rd Battalion was raised in 1900 and served at home and in South Africa, before joining the BEF in France and Flanders in August 1914.. It served successively with the 3rd, 25th and 19 Duvusions on the Western Front until 1919. After a posting to India in 192021 it was disbanded in Worcester on the 1st January 1923.
