Small standing figure of St Antonin, patron saint of the fraternity of Pepperers which after 1370 took the name of ‘Grosseurs’; raised on an ebonised base applied with the Grocers Company's crest, the spice-laden camel. Height of figure: 8.4cm. Maker’s mark of John Bodman Carrington of Carrington & Co., London. Hallmarked London 1903.
